GraviRIGHT Glass Fiber Filters
TYPE: DEPTH FILTERS
Glass microfibre filters are made from very fine borosilicate glass fibres that are non-hygroscopic and biologically inert. Due to the chemical inertness of glass, they have wide chemical compatibility. GraviRIGHT boasts superior wet strength and low fibre loss, making it ideal for gravimetric analysis, such as suspended solids in water and wastewater. These specifications also render them ideal for applications requiring fine filtration and high-load capacity. These applications are free lime determination in cement, air pollution, biochemical research and processes, gravimetric analysis and as a prefilter for membrane filtration. Their heat tolerance means they’re suitable as a support for moisture content analysis via infrared or oven drying.
DIFFERENCES IN SUSPENDED SOLIDS CONTENT BETWEEN THREE GLASS FIBER PAPERS
The suspended solid analysis test (SABS method 1049:1990) was done with our RGF and two other competitor papers, labelled W and M. A 10mg sample of insoluble cellulose microcrystalline test solution was used with five samples of each paper. It was found that all filter papers performed equally well with a maximum variation of 0,0007g between the different papers recorded.
