MegaPure Water System

WATER SYSTEMS

The MEGAOPURE water purification system is the latest addition to the lab water range. Incorporating Electrodeionization or EDI technology, this system can produce consistently high purity water quality without the variation associated with conventional ion exchange resin exhaustion.

It is the ideal system which can produce water for both general laboratory use and higher purity requirements.

  • 10 l/h water produced (over 100 I per day available).

  • Water goes through the external pre-treatment system, then purified by reverse osmosis followed by Electrodeionization (EDI).

  • Ultra-low Total Organic Carbon (TOC).

  • Bacterial load less than 10 CFU/ml.

  • On-line final product resistivity meter with probe having 0.01 cell constant, to accurately measure down to 18 Meg.cm.

  • Online TDS meter to measure feed water and the product of the RO membrane.

  • Remote SMS notification for filter change and any error messages.

  • Live flow rate measurement to display volume produced, and notification for prefilter order time and when to change.

  • Product below spec set point cut out if product water goes over spec. With a set reminder to change cartridges.

  • Low pressure cut-out if feed pressure is low or prefilters are blocked.

  • High pressure cut-out, for filling station or back pressure on product line.

  • Casing optimised for bench space-saving and designed for easy access to filter cartridges.

MEGA PURE EDI DESCRIPTION

The need to satisfy the demand for convenient, continuous high purity water for la

boratories can be achieved using MEGA PURE proprietary electrodeionization (EDI) technology.

MEGAOPURE’s EDI module replaces the conventional DI cartridges in a countertop laboratory water system to produce high purity water. Unlike DI resin

cartridges, EDI does not require frequent replacement. Because of this, EDI:

  • minimizes water quality fluctuations and
  • minimizes operating costs.

EDI removes ions from aqueous streams in conjunction with reverse osmosis (RO) and other pre-treatment.

Advantages over Conventional DI:

  • EDI minimises cartridge replacement, so saves money
  • EDI systems are compact
  • EDI provides water of consistent quality EDI requires little energy.
